The Joshi-class SDB updates the base design with the latest technology and all round improvements. The armor, weaponry and sensors are all improved over the Bannerjee and to top it off the quarters are greatly improved to make serving aboard them more acceptable to the largely non-Terran crews. The three senior officers have their own rooms with everyone else sharing and there are two spare rooms for mission flexibility.
The ship still has the same basic hull shape as the old Bannerjee for compatibility with the SDB-jump tenders.
